After the tenth match of the 2012 AMA Supercross series, a part of the FIM World Championship was conducted in a mud filled race track of the Daytona International Highway, Florida, the season now moves on to Indianapolis for the eleventh match of this series. The Round 11 of this season will be played at the famous Lucas Oil Stadium and it is expected to be another cracker of a match.
The stadium has a relatively newer infrastructure and its facilities are amazing. The stadium got its storied RCA type Dome replaced before few years. Overall, the Lucas Oil Stadium has transformed into perfect place for high quality racing. It is the home stadium of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and also is the host for the 2012 season of the Super Bowl. The 2012 AMA Supercross is expecting to draw in a huge and intense crowd of more than 50,000 fans. The kind of form James Stewart has shown last weekend, it is expected that he will produce another high voltage performance at Lucas Oil Stadium too. The fans are counting high on Stewart in the next match.
The race track at Indianapolis has one of the best dirt present on the circuit. It is the second most preferred track of the racers after St. Louis. We will again get a chance to experience the excitement of over under bridge, like the one we already saw during the ninth match at St. Louis. Another feature of the race track at Indianapolis is that it has several 180 degree bowl turnings in it which tends to lead the riders to numerous passing opportunities rather than the 90 degree turn. These turnings often results in a much 'one-fast-line' kind of a scenario which ultimately results in fewer passes.
Last Saturday, during the tenth match at Daytona, passing opportunities for the riders was of minimum worry. Although the riders had a pretty hard time at Daytona because of the extremely mud filled race track, they could however pull off a good performance to entertain the fans. However, the Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross match on Sunday and Monday was conducted properly as the crew worked extremely hard to make the track free of excess mud.
The match at Indianapolis is definitely going to produce another gem of a performance from the high rated racers. Don’t miss the action as the match will be telecasted LIVE on SPEED TV commencing from 7 p.m. Saturday evening.
