Tyla Rattray to Race in 450cc MX Championship for Team Kawasaki

The 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship will begin on 19th May, 2012 at Sacramento, California and just few days before that, a great announcement came from the Kawasaki racing team. They have brought in Tyla Rattray as the substitute for their ace rider, Ryan Villopoto - The 2012 AMA Supercross winner, to race in the AMA 450cc Class Motocross Championship alongside Jake Weimer.

After the successful completion of the 2012 AMA Supercross series, a part of the FIM World championship, at the Sin City on 5th May, 2012, the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship has neared up and will be the next most hyped dirt bike racing extravaganza. The Monster Energy Kawasaki racing team had an extraordinary season during the 2012 AMA Supercross series. Ryan Villopoto, the ace rider of the team went into the championship as the defending champion having won the 2011 title and he acquired the title in the 2012 season too with four matches still left in the series. Villopoto brought his Kawasaki team the 2012 AMA Supercross title by delivering some amazing racing moments. No wonder why the Monster Energy Kawasaki racing team is oozing with confidence and excited for the upcoming 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

The Monster Energy Kawasaki racing team will go into the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross tournament as the most dominating and reigning championship squad. As we all know that Villopoto incurred serious injuries during his crash weeks ago at the Seattle supercross match, he still hasn’t recovered fully and will take time to get completely fit before making a comeback to the race track.  In Villopoto’s absence, the Monster Energy Kawasaki racing team has roped in the amazing rider, Tyla Rattray. The team brought in Tyla Rattray as a substitute for their injured rider, Villopoto. So at 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, the fans will witness Tyla Rattray riding on the factory built KX™450F bike. Tyla Rattray was bought in to race in the AMA 450cc Class Motocross Championship alongside Jake Weimer, another ace Kawasaki rider.

Tyla Rattray to Race in 450cc MX ChampionshipTyla Rattray has an amazing track record and has also been the world champion. Last summer, he finished second in the 250cc Motocross Championship. In the MX1 classification of the 2011 FIM Motocross of Nations, Rattray finished second in the tournament.  Rattray is extremely excited to get this opportunity and was seen practicing hard during the previous two weeks riding on the KX™450F bike. Rattray quoted, “I’m very excited about this and wish to thank everyone for granting me this opportunity.”

Reid Nordin, the senior manager of the Monster Energy Kawasaki racing team quoted, “We are happy to have Tyla Rattray in our team. He is a great contender for national championship and we hope that he will put us up front in this summer too.” The 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship will begin on 19th May, 2012 at Sacramento, California along with the Hangtown Motocross Tournament.
