So far, the Yoshimura Suzuki racing team has been able to turn in some solid and consistent performances almost throughout the 2012 season of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series, a part of the FIM World Championship. The eighth match of the 2012 AMA Supercross series was conducted at the Georgia Dome of Atlanta last Saturday and it wasn’t a different case for the Yoshimura Suzuki racing team either. Australian racer Brett Metcalfe of team Yoshimura Suzuki delivered some amazing performances that night. Brett Metcalfe riding on his famous Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 bike showed great efforts.
The match at Atlanta was a houseful event and was witnessed by a completely sold out audience of about 71,000 fans. Brett Metcalfe was fully focused in the race and was able to acquire a noteworthy ninth spot finishing in front of a sold-out crowd. On account of a perfect start, Metcalfe acquired an impressive third spot finishing by the end of the 8th lap of the heat race. He aggressively jumped off the race gate and quickly captured the Nuclear Cowboyz® Holeshot award riding on his Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 bike. He then showed some great efforts in the following laps to finally finish third. In the main event, Metcalfe had an amazing start and was riding in at the seventh position for several laps. He finally finished ninth in the race.
“I was really looking forward to this match. I wasn’t really comfortable during the practice session as the track was a bit tough for me. It was a tough night for me but I am happy for the positive things I had. Riding on the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 bike, I got some great starts but could not really capitalize on them. I just need to bring back my focus for the next match. There is something new for me at St. Louis. I haven’t been there for quite some time and I have never raced there riding on the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 bike. I’ll have another chance to prove myself and improve my ratings. I’m really looking forward to deliver a great performance at St. Louis. ,” quoted Metcalfe.
Metcalfe is very much satisfied with his performance and is looking forward to the next match to be held at the Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis. He looks extremely focused and is very much enthusiastic for the next race because it will be the first time that he will appear in a Supercross class race at this particular venue.
