| A Rider | A 9 volt battery would hold all the program info just about forever if needed. Besides the computer doesn't need a battery to hold all the info. It is all programmed. Just think if your car battery dies the computer still knows what to do when you get a new battery.

| Pro Mototips Member | when you first kick it the first couple of revolutions charges the battery up enough so it will operate, then it will start, the battery holds enough charge from this to let the bike run for like 3 hours, then it needs to be charged again. but it alaways keeps enough power to store all of the information
