| Administrator | What is an Enduro An enduro is a trail riding event that usually covers between 50 and 100 miles. You are trying to arrive at checkpoints along the course on your minute. You will get points for coming into a checkpoint early or late. The person with the lowest score at the end will be the winner of the race. There are no mass starts in enduros. Most of the time there will be a few other people riding the same minute you do. They normally start A class riders first and work there way through the classes C class starting last. The club that organized the race will mark the course with arrows so you know where you are going. I have overlooked these arrows a few times and you will get lost so PAY ATTENTION. The club will also provide you with a printout of the speed averages you need to maintain in order to hit the check points on time. The speed averages will normally keep you working hard all the way through the race. You have to anticipate where the check points are going to be so you don’t hit them early or late. Do you race enduros? More tips to come!
