What you need to ride an Enduro

Article series started here http://www.mototips.com/riding-train...at-enduro.html

Your bike should be in excellent mechanical condition. You must be able to go 30 – 50 miles before you refill your bike with gas. If you cant make it you can carry gas with you. Most of the time you would pack it on your enduro belt but I have seen people duct tape it to their fenders but the one time I did this I lost my gas somewhere on the ride. I ended up running out of gas only 7 miles from the gas stop and it cost me the race. Your bike must be state park legal and you may also need to pass a sound test.

You must be in good physical condition. Make sure to bring a snack with you and also send some food with your gas so at the gas stop if you time you can grab a quick bite to eat. Also carry water with you so you can stay hydrated. If the conditions are going to be very dusty drop an oiled airfilter off with your gas so you can change your airfilter during your lunch. You should always carry tools in your enduro belt. You never know what kind of repairs you will have to make while out on the trail.

It is also good to pick up some time keeping equipment since you are scored on time.
A route chart holder

And an enduro computer

Have your ever raced an enduro? Did you enjoy it? Enduros are my most favorite kind of race. I loved riding single track through the middle of no where land while trying to keep pace with the clock. Check with your local riding clubs for your enduro schedule.

Sometimes you have to stop if you are riding ahead of your minute.
