Do you get hand cramps?

Do you get hand cramps?

These are some tips that can help you out.

When you are in the air give your arms a break and completely relax them.
Remember to twist the throttle with your wrist and keep your elbows up.
Try different diameter grips. This can improve the situation greatly.
Make sure you are always hydrated.
Make sure to stretch your hands and fingers.
Remember you are gripping the bike more with your legs then your hands.

For discussion: Do you get hand cramps? How do you prevent this problem?

Relaxing -- less taxing

First ride of the season is usually brutal for me. As far as I can tell it's because I'm tensed up and it takes a little while to find that groove. Once I can relax and not have that death-grip on the bars I can go for hours.

Stretching seems to help, but I usually don't remember until the cramps set in.

(worst case scenario: severe hand cramps, full bladder, stuck zipper. That's when you find out who your REAL friends are!)

Worst case scenario seems a bit spooky to me. Should add mototips on your list of free dirt bike tips.

i really havent had too much trouble with hands cramps. in fact i have never got them. i do get arm pump after knocking off some serious laps. it gets kinda bad, but goes away the minute i rest for a sec. the more i ride the less the problem gets. really havent had it in a while. i guess im in good shape also.

The more you ride the less you get them... OR the higher tolerance to them you grow...

And the all important, BREATHE!!! I find that if you don't breathe, you will get more cramps, arm-pump,and become mental and physical tierd.

Also, have fun! If your not having fun, then you are not focusing on other things. If you are having a blast, then you will ride longer/harder.
