Banana's have lots of potassium. They can aid in preventing armpump. Buy some before your next ride. Eat 1-2 the night before and 1-2 in the morning....its work's. Armpump is common on CR500's....they shake a bit. The nan'ers help out. If you type "banana's and arm pump" in a yahoo search. You'll come up with a few hits, mostly other bike forums.

Banana's work!! Even if you get arm pump in the middle of the day eat some bananas! I never ride w/o bananas.

Arm Pump

I know a couple of really skinny guys (no forearms) and a couple that work out a lot -- I think the skinny guys have less arm pump.

Just from experience and talking to people, it seems how tense/relaxed you are is more important than what kind of shape you're in.

In shape is still good though -- means you can ride longer, or tire less.

I tried the banana eating thing... but my helmet got in the way, the trail was bumpy, I smeared banana all over my gloves and goggles and hit a tree. No forearm pump, but the rest of me is in pretty bad shape.

lol, ya i have heard that working out puts more pressure on the tendons and wat not. more muscle = less space for the tendons to move. i cant rememer the real word, i dont think it is tendons.
