yea my friend got concussed from doing that, i dont think a 125 is a good bike to have your first dirtbike ride on

someone about months ago on this thread said that with 2 strokes staying in the powerband is the way to ride fast.. not true. atleast not in the woods. the guys i ride with feel the need to wind the hell out of their bikes, and are still not as fast.. if u throw it in a taller gear you really will have a faster lap time and a more controlled ride, with more rides on your top end.

just thought id throw that out there

i hate to argue but dyno charts do not lie. with any 2 stroke, to be competitive against a 4 stroke need to be ridden in the power band which is around 7000-9000. otherwise you will get torn apart by others. if you are anywhere else in the rpm range, you are 10-15hp under a 4 stroke. you have to ride a 2 stroke high in the rpm range to be competitive.

yea that is true, and two strokes dont have much over-rev, which most people dont realize, and thay are probly riding slow because they are like in first gear and they a reving the shit out of the bike

actually a yz250 with a heavy flywheel is probably one of the better choices on the market, it will lug like a 4t and still be as light as a 2t.
