How to ride fast?

i ride with my friends on the weekends i want to learn how to ride faster. my problem is that i cant ride fast unless i need to (say too get home befour dad sells your bike

) when i need to go fast on this one trail i can ride it in about 8 mins. other than when i need to it takes me about 20 mins. do you know of anyway to make it easyer to ride fast?

practice makes perfect. 2 stroke you need to stay in the power band for speed.

u just gotta stay on it or u need someone to make u go faster. invite a really good rider to go along and try to keep up.

In time you will ride faster and faster... Life aint all about speed though. I rather conquer more technical obstacles.

sometimes speed is required to conquer those obstacles though. like a crazy steep hill climb.

ya, I rode an old IT490, the owner said, see that hill, pin it and hold on, the bike will do the rest because you cant control it. that really boosted my confidence lol.

i really enjoy the 4 stroking option though where i kinda just idle up the huge hill climbs.

I take it your not familir with the 490?
beasty power, rivals a 450 and were talking a 70's and 80's bike
ancient suspension
drum brakes
but a hell of a motor! that thing will run 80mph all day long. with throttle to spare
