Description: The Main track is an outdoor style track about 1 mile long. It is considered a "fast track", and has some mild Supercross type sections. The soil is a sandy loam. The track is elevated and sloped so it recovers quickly when it rains. The track has lights for night riding, and is lit pretty well. There is paved parking, lawn, trees, running water, flush toilets, bike wash. The track is located in town so it is close to motels, stores, etc.
The "Back track" is a natural terrain "mellow" track about 3/4 mile long, and a favorite of the beginner rider, and quad riders. There are no lights on this track.
The kids track is only about 1/4 mile long and is for the little quys with 50cc machines and true beginner 60 and 80s. It is located at the far end of the Parking lot. Funds have been approved for lighting this track. Construction should begin the fall of 1998. Now it will be spring of 1999. Oh man, now it will be spring of 2001. We are waiting on a permit from Dept. of Water Resources.
We plan to plant more trees around the edges this year. You can't plant trees in the middle because this is a night track and trees block the light. We also plan on more picnic tables. | | | | |
