| C Rider | rm 125 forks well i put new seals and bushings on my 99 rm and filled the oil to the specs indicated in the book and now they function as should except for if i jump or pull a wheelie the forks drop hard i mean real hard they never did that before when the seals where bad im wondering if maybe i did something wrong also ive tried adjusting the compression and rebound from hardest to softest without noticing any differance is the a chance my valving systems is screwed im at a loss here cause i dont know a thing, maybe i should send them to be revalved or just looked at to find out why they dont seem to want to adjust but my biggest worry is the forks slamming down when i lift the front end up also real bouncy when i land

| Pro Mototips Member | did you adjsut the rebound damping at all? compression adjustment has nothing do with how fast the forks come back from being compressed. it is either on the bottom or on the top. im not sure

| C Rider | yeah the adjuster at the bottom of the forks is for dampening or so the manual says i adjusted it so it would be the slowest rebound yet it still does it the seals where bad for some time and im thinking maybe the valving systems are shot im going to try heavier oil next week i used 5 weight fork oil this time wich im told is pretty light.

| Administrator | How did you feel the forks? You are supposed to fill them up then pump the inner rod many times until no bubbles appear. Then pump the outer tube up and down until no bubble sounds are heard. Then pump the inner rod again. Then let sit for 15 minutes. Fill and match oil levels and bolt it all back together.

| Pro Mototips Member | you shouldnt feel it when your fork legs pull out, that means something is wrong. but your valving sytem isnt shot, all they are is a circle looking peice that your oil flows through with holes in them. and stay with 5w, its what they all come with from the factroy, and air could be the problem, air would flow through the valves instead of oil, and that would make it seem like it has no rebound damping

| Pro Mototips Member | oh and when you do pump the fork tubes to distribute the oil DO NOT use a stroke of 6 inches or longer, it will cause way to much to enter and waitong wont help the air bubbles come up, and in that case you will have to drain them and distribute them again
