i didnt say he was being rude, but older bikes go for more than that did, i saw a 2008 yz250 sitting on it's centerstand at the yamaha store today, man it was nice!!!! i was drooling all over it. i keep going back and forth about wether to fix it up, or sell it and buy a new/newer one. what would you guys do? i think it has potential, but everybody keeps saying its a shitpiece

id go newer. and GSCX is right. ill show you some bikes around here that are only a few years old and are going for 1400 and 1600. it is sad from a buyers point of view.

The reason you beat so many modern bikes is because you are a good rider. It is almost a fact that a new bike is always faster than an old bike even if you have lots of mods on the older one. I remember racing this kid when I had my RM80. I had lots of mods on the RM80 and the kid trashed me in a drag race on his newer bike even though I beat him on the track.

ive ridden modern bikes, i cant say that i fell in love with any of them compared to suzi (except for the 450 ) think of all that extra money a little newer bike is going to be though. if i were to buy a 2000 rm125, thats only 6 years, more like 5 really because 92-95 were the same look at davo's bike. its a 94, dont tell me it isnt extremely nice

tj, I dont look down on people for riding older equipment, I say more power to them.
but old bikes just dont have it, sure, big bore 2 smokes had the power of todays 450's
but they lacked in suspension and brakes, so any time you want to suzi to nm to race wanda I will be more than happy to demonstrate my point.
