| Administrator | Well, 14:1 made your bike run leaner... Got to think about it for a sec, I know. However, you will be losing power with your switch to 32:1. But with the added oil dragging you down before you will probably still gain something.

| Administrator | Here we go... Time for some crazy learnin'... OK 14:1 says what? 14 parts gas for every one part oil. Now at 32:1 there are 32 parts gas for every one part oil. This means that at 14:1 for every lets say ounce of fuel sucked in by the engine (14/15)*1ounce = 0.93 ounces of gas. Now at 32:1 (32/33)*1ounce = 0.97 ounces of gas. So to recap. Because there is more oil in the 14:1 mixture, the engine still sucks in the same amount of mixture but more of the mixture is taken up by oil instead of gas. And you can think of oil as a neutral combustant.

| The Spam man | exactly, but the gas burns better than the oil right? remember how you said on your rm80 when you switched from 32:1 to 40:1 that it had more power?

| Administrator | First off the 16oz is 32:1 to one. Now TJ... Do you think I just made the switch without jetting? Jetting allowed me to use 40:1 much more effectively. Plus, I didn't just switch the mixture. I switched to synthetic which allows you to run higher ratios like 40:1 and 50:1. Less oil does equal more power if you correct your richer mixture with jetting.
