Recommended muffler for RM 125

We just bought a 2002 Suzuki 125 RM for my 16-year old son. It only has a shorty pipe and is really loud. Does anyone have suggestions on a quiet muffler. The quieter the better for my wife. My son is a beginning rider, so we aren't concerned a bout losing a little power to get the quiet.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into the Stocker. I was confused by the Q stealth. It sounded like what I was looking for, but when I checked their site, the only Suzuki that made them for as the RM 250.

FMF Racing (Motocross) - Q Stealth

Are they really that model specific?

you can always make it work with a cutoff wheel and welder.
just keep the midpipe off the current one.
like tdb said, it may just need to be repacked, but i havent really ever heard a quiet 125.
may i suggest a powercore 1 silencer? again, it might not fit, but a welder and cutoff wheel is all you need
heres my powercore 1

This is our first 2-stroke and we, my son and I, are both fairly new to dirtbikes to begin with, so I am unfamiliar with what it takes to repack and muffler and to tell when it needs it. I'll take a look first thing tomorrow to see if I can tell. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

If repacking it would help, I'm for that, but I can't imagine that repacking this shorty pipe will help that much. It's my understanding that people put these pipes on their bikes to increase power and expect it to get noiser, so that's not exactly where I want to start. I want as quiet as I can get.

I've got the tools, so I'm game for this. Not so great at this kind of thin metal welding, but maybe its time to get better.

Did you investigate other mufflers beyond the powercore 1 and if so, which and why did you go with the powercore?

BTW, I loved the video, it helps me see what I can expect. Meaning, 1) your bike sounds much quieter than most, if not all 2-strokes, I've heard, and 2) it still sounds loud. Which is good, properly sets my expectations.

dont you mean powercore 2 tj?
repacking is quite easy, does the muffler still have the rivets in it?
