his linkage bearings need to be replaced, it shouldnt stick because they are needle bearings and they will only stick if there is a insane amount of rust in them

your shocks might be bent. my xr75 rear shocks do the same because i bottom out so much and they bent

its not bent, it goes straight down so there is no way for it to bend. he would have to bottom out so hardf that his bike would literally break in half for the main body to bend

im only going to try this one more time. your 1970s something xr75 is ALOT weaker than a 2004 CR250. to my knowledge you cant even bend a shock on a moderen motocross bike, i dont think it is physically possible

anything that can happen will happen...

if its sticking when compressed make sure no bolts are backing out and catching on the suspension components like the linkage

i think there would be way to much torque for rust to hold a suspension back....
