    clutch return spring

Has anyone replaced a clutch return spring on a ttr 125? My bud gave me a new one when I bought the bike but I can't get the push lever out (I don't want to force it) and it looks like I have to remove the motor to replace it. WTF!! and Thanks!

have you tried different gears like neutral and seeing if it would come free then. if non of that works. i think you may have to take off that side plate.

look at the diagram, theres a snap ring in there that appears to be accesible either from the inside or the rod is capable of being wiggled out far enough for you to remove it

i dont see in the pics where he does but I may be wrong.
if thats out it may be a matter of grooves on the shaft or simply its been in there so long that corrosion is doing its stuff

I wonder if the spacer in there is seated and just needs a little pressure to pull it out. i would say put it into neutral and try it again.
