KTM 65SX stolen in NC

Son’s KTM 65SX dirt bike was stolen Friday night into Saturday morning (11/14/2008 to 11/15/2008) during the rain and storms from HWY 581 near Bailey, NC. The dirt bike was under the shed blocked by my S-10 pickup. They lifted the bike over the hood of the truck and took it to the back of the field and made a horseshoe around the field until they came back to the road where someone stopped and they loaded it up and was gone. There were two sets of footprints and a driver. So it was 3 people working on this theft. They have dropped some items along their journey and they were turned in to the Nash County Sherriff’s Department. This bike was bought 2 months ago for $1,500 for my 6 year old son and I will be da**ed if I am just going to let this go. This is the second power sports item stolen from my son and it will be the last. (GUNS ARE LOADED WITH SAFTEY OFF!! And dogs are on order!) This bike has a lot of very distinguishing markings and will be noticed when I see it. The two pictures above show what it looked like the day that it was stolen. Let me know if you have any info to help arrest these dang thieves that take things from well rounded 6 year old kids. Don’t call the sheriff’s department, call me and I will let them know about it after I have finished with them. So if you have it, drop it back off and you will be fine… if I don’t catch you! And my 6 year old son has something that he would like to tell you too. It was one of Robbie Andersons race bikes and I bought it from them about two months ago. Pro-Action suspension, renthal sprocket, showing foam on both lower corners of the seat, it was a 2005 frame with a 2006 engine, rear tire little worn, FMF chrome Fatty pipe with stock silencer. Under the rear fender it has a black and white sticker that says 65SX… I had it with some graphics that were left over and just stuck it there for the hell of it. The left foot peg has a carter pin in it instead of the proper pin that is in the right side. The front number plate still had Robbie’s number 576 on it. On the front fender it had Champion Cycles and also on the fork guards and airbox. The seat clip was broke and used a zip tie. The stator cover was shinner than the engine because I had just started to polish it with Mother’s Polish. The handle bar pad was silver, black, and blue FLY pad.
