| The Spam man | something is still wrong here. it takes less than 1 quart to mix 5 gallons at 32:1 according to my ratio-rite. thats way more than enough for 5 hours but the wr uses 1.6 every 5 hours, so i think i am right here, i just cant find the math to back it up ah, nm, i forgot i was factoring in transmission fluid

| Administrator | Look at the simple fact energy. The fact that per ounce of fuel, a two stroke is less efficient. This is a fact and can be proven by looking at the amount of unburned fuel in the exhaust. If four strokes are so maintenance oriented, why are they in cars????? Why on the now in weedeaters and chainsaws? Why is everything switching to four strokes? There is an obvious reason.... Because they are superior. Manufacturers make decisions based on marginal cost and variable cost. They would not produce these motors if it was not in their benefit.

so nobody is going to think twice about buying a weed eater if there are few to no choices, it doesnt hurt them at all. and this is a bad move if you think they are trying to stand out, because they are junk, ive seen them, they make 0 power and look downright frustrating, that will not work. so, all it could possibly be is they are switching design before they have to. btw, 2 stroke lawnmowers were banned in california and a bunch of other places is why you dont see them anymore
