if you want too, I doubt it because thats scratching the inner pieces surface and leaks may show up regardless of rebuild or not

I dont believe so no, that and their probably rusted to the point where after you got it all off there wouldnt be much thinckness to the tube

yeah. im more of a fan of bright colors. im thinking a "general lee" dirt bike :P

or maybe something like black and silver.... though i would really love to keep the vintage look to it. something period specific i guess.... the original color was kind of a rusty red with dull yellow stripes. there is still paint under the gas tank :P

if you do sand the forks get some really high grit sand paper like 1000 grit to polish it
