i live 20 miles from work.... and about 3 or 4 miles of that is a rough unpaved road with potholes and big rocks.... but the speed limit is 70 most of the way to work....

now that you are working on this bike, you need to join the "vintage is pimpage" group once you figure it out. you will probably have to do some sprocket tuning to get 70mph out of that.

vintage is pimpage? well i have a long way to go before its rideable.... new engine and trans. new handlebars, current ones are bent. brakes and brake lines, new tires, new seat, turn signals, headlight, brake light, and horn to make it street legal. then i have to learn how to ride... never rode anything more than a mountain bike before... honestly i dont know what the different pedals are. as in the clutch and shifter... yada yada...

you will learn when you say engine and trans. they are pretty much the same block of metal, just most of your transmission is classified as your bottom end. but, if you buy an engine for it, you have also bought a transmission.

learned something new... then what is missing off of the very top of the engine. there is an arm with a hole in it and four bolts sticking up???
