so, my rings where a little loose... the oil rings just dropped
to the bottom of the cylinder

the piston has a .022" taper
the top is smallest

pshit who says i don't lol

have more on the way...
got the exhaust port polished as much as i can

got the valves out, with out a valve compressor
but i can't get them in the same way

the guides need replaced, intake is the worst
the exhaust valve had something(not carbon or oil) caked on it about a 1/4" thick
the valve seat is convex and the surface on the valve is concave(need reseated if not replaced)
rockers are good to go so is the cam
the slipper for the timing chain was not worn horribly in face one had no wear on it

um... i think thats it for now

ok, so i was wrong... my shop teacher said my valves and valve guids are still good
although the seats needed lapped very badly
i cut them and ground them seat = 44* and valve = 45*

made a puller to take the fly wheel off, worked like a charm

the timing chain ate in to my case and in to the plate that holds the stator coils but its nothing i still can't use

the sprocket on the crank shaft has two sides so i am going to try and turn it around (no need to by new crank sprocket)
the timing mark on the sprocket is set off to the left side of the keyway on the flywheel and i am wondering if it is off time.... it does not look like it has a key-way in it so it would e possible for it to un-time after a while

i am measuring the cylinder and something is very not right... is measures out to about 69.99mm and its supposed to be a 70mm bore
how could that be possible?

umm... i think thats it for now, i am ordering parts as soon is i figure out whats going on with the bore

what would happen if you where to restack the clutch plates so that they would run on the ridges of all the grooves? (making it ware back to a flat surface)

pic asap

ktm is the only one that dramtically over states engine size, even then it doesnt matter because its just a model number.

cool turtle, I look forward to the pics!

the bore is supposed to be 70mm and the stroke is supposed to be 64mm

not cc i know that its lower than the model number

bore and stoke should be exact

any comments on the timing chain or do i need to take it to the kawi shop?
