quick lube question

im new to the 2 storke macines i just recently bought a 95 yz 125 nice shape pretty good bike all around especially for the price but i went to put some gear oil in and there is no dipstick and no visible window that i can see does any one know how much is supposed to be in there and how can i tell how much is in there now (is there just a little window that im not seeing?)

well when im doing my oil i have a check screw on mine so i pull that out then put the oil in and when the oil comes out of the check screw put the screw back in not very hard

where about is this screw located? ormaybe you could show me a pic of where it is i dont really know to much about the mechanics of the machine and do you recomend a good oil for the yz 125

look on the clutch cover and find a bolt that looks like it doesnt hold anything, it has a brass washer on it. this is your check oil level bolt

my bike is around the same year and dosent have anything like that, it might, but a sure way is just to drain it, then look on the clutch cover and it should say how to much to pour in. i use my ratio-rite cup to measure it out

oil running out of the oil level bolt is the surest way lol, you bike has a check bolt im sure, just take one out at a time and you will find it

it should 650 ml. that is what mine is. it will say in your manuel the exact amount, if you dont have one you should get one!!!
