sounds like its running a little lean now...
have you had the bike running long enough to color the plug?

and you said you checked the exhaust and intake valves?

okay men,
thanks to you all.
i got home saturday,re-wired the kill switch, tried to see whether valves were sticking by visual through reed port, and through exhaust port, and gave up on that idea.
one thing that kept dawning on me, was that regardless of a carb lean or rich the dearn thing oughta fire off and run albeit crappy if out of specs but should run like it was the previos saturday,
the thing that stuck in my head was having to onscrew the cap off the new plug to fit the plug into the spark plug boot.
this is an old bike.i recall the center threaded post was quite large as a kid in high school.these new ones are slender.
i took an ice pick and dug out the center cap from boot, stuck my ne plug in with the factory cap, gave her one kick, and she's now officially running!

for the record, it appears they gu i bought it from 15 years ago lied about the rebuild as i suspected for i only have 75 pounds of compression with wide open throttle as well.

i fill you all in on the latest, which now seems to be a slipping clutch, i hope due to my wife filling the oil to full capacity, lol
once cranked it was pumping oil out the vent tube the the oil rigs in texas.

that simple,lol

as an enquiring mind is taught it's always spark, air,or fuel.
the problem is we don't always know which is the problem, lol

and here, the problem like cranking one time and not the next clearly was the plug boot accidentally leaning(as i would get on and off)to make a connection.

heck i don't know, i just know it's cranking,lol

well the low compression probly has something to do with the bad running at low rpms, more throttle means highe compression so you should probly rebuild it.
