yz 125k mid range/full throttle problem

this is a two part synopsis

day one
after 15 years i found someone to successfully tig weld one of the float arms on my yz125.

i bought it years ago with this problem.it would run great, till i got just far enough from my house to make it a long walk back.after pulling carb the problem was immediately visable(the severed float arm)

finally got it fixed(after all these years)cleaned all ports and jets, checked air screw 1.5 turns out)new autolite plug(champions n-84 equivalent)fired her up,she'd run a few secs then quit.
a little gas was coming from lower vent hose, so i took carb apart again, checked float level, readjusted put back on, she'd run, but everytime i'd give it throttle she'd bog and quit.
i nursed it a while on low speed and managed to make it completely around my neighborhood for the 1st time ever, all the while spitting sputtering and an occasional backfire.
i then get it fired up running low speed, and throw a can of sea foam to it.

i can now full throttle after it warms up(sometimes)but once i put it gear to take off, she dies.
i'm distraught.the plugs are wet after every run.
so when she stalls it takes a while to fire her off again.

i'm wondering if i might have some type ignition problem like not enough fire when you full throttle?
i'm lost.

any suggestions?

day 2
i pulled the plug, regapped it to .5
repaired a couple sloppy twisted and taped wires coming out of block with wire connecters, and changed filter.

adjusted idle screw out a smidget, and checked air adjustment.
dig this, air adjustment was 13 turns out.
so i go all the way in, back 1.25 turns, and she won't half run.meaning sometimes it'll crank for a second sometimes not.come back out 13.5 turns she cranks and stays running.
i let it burm off all the sea foam for about five minutes and take off around neighborhood(circle)5 times.
now, she's running strong up to about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle, but won't do squat beyond half to full.like she's starving for fuel.
is this a high speed jet?
reed valve?
clogged filter?
thanks.
btw, if jetting, where would i purchase these jets?

try droping the needle one or two notches...

sounds like its to far up and she is getting flooded at 1/2 throttle

yea get a NGK plug, also you should check your main jet, it sounds like it clogged, there is a passage behind it that leads up to the venturi. check that, the jet can be clear but the passage might be gummed up. or it could be running rich with the main jet, clean it and experiment, oh yea get new floats, the weld could be to big and hitting the carb and keeping it from closing
