Thumbs down Suspension

I have a YZ400f "98" and find the suspension to stiff. Has any one ever fitted gold fast flow valves? Do they work? What else can i try?

yes, the gold valves work very well. Though you could revalve the stock stuff yourself, or have someone to do it for you, and receive the same results.
The benefit of Gold Valves is that they will give you a shim stack that might work for you, then customer support for you to change the stack until it works.
This is what a good suspension shop will do for you also, if you don't want to do the work yourself.

You also may have worn bushings etc, that need to be replaced on your forks.
So, my advice would be to take it to someone to revalve and inspect them with the goal of making them just like new again!

i know it may be obvious, but a quicker fix could be pressure in the forks. there are screws on top to relieve it
