Good Deal?

I've been thinking about selling my bike a getting something newer and a little faster. is this a good deal?
yz 400f
seems like too good of a deal. Also, I was reading that 4 strokes need rebuilds fairly often. Is it as often as a two stroke? Is it more costly, etc?

Alright Matt, that looks like a super sweet deal but obviously call first and ask excessive questions. As far as the 4 stroke rebuilds, they technically come less often than a 2 stroke. Say you started with a fresh top end on that yz400f. You would get well over 100 hours out of it. My crf450r gets 100 hours to a top end yet the service interval claims 15 hours. However when it is time for a rebuild it could be expensive depending on what is worn.

Ya it looks super clean. Im just worried about the price. He might have already sold it because I sent an email asking what year and I haven't gotten a response yet. Im also worried if a 4 stroke might end up costing more to maintain. With a car payment with little money its hard lol. So I, in between a 250 2 stroke and a 400 4 stroke. Havent really seen any 250 4 strokes but I guess thats because it is a newer thing. I would maybe even get another 125. Im mainly looking for something newer so its easier to buy parts.

it looks like a nice bike, ask they guy if it has been raced and what not, and its either a 98 or 99 because those are the only two years they made the 400
