| Administrator | alright, i have been reading these posts, but im not sure exactly what your problems are. its looks like you changed your vent hose. did you put the fuel check valve back in line with the hose. the valve only lets air in and keeps gas from comming out when you dump your bike. it also can keep water out more so than a straight hose. elaborate a little bit on your problems and i will get it solved.

| Administrator | as far as the hose, the valve is a useful thing that i couldnt stand not having on my old bike. and with rebuild time, if you ride a decent amount you should try to get new rings every 4-6 months and a new piston every year to year and a half. if you ride real hard and every day i would suggest rings every 3-5 months and a piston every 6-8 months. also valves should be checked and shimmed if necessary every month. when you put in new rings, try to get your valves lapped, only if they are NOT TITANIUM. DONT LAP TITANIUM VALVES! new valves can be installed every 2 or so years. if they are titanium you might be pushing them to get 2 years. i bought my 2004 rmz250 which had been lightly ridden and the valves were completely trashed. idk, if u start to notice a diff in power then its time for a rebuild
