how did the larger gas tank affect the handling of your bike? did you notice much of a diff?

I used to have an oversized tank on a 125 of mine for enduro racing. Handling wise it made no difference... Or maybe i just got used to it?

i wish i would have known, because durring my search for a bike i steered clear of the oversized tank bikes

The only real difference that I noticed is that once in a while the actual size of it keeps me from being able to ride forward as much as I would like in some situations. Other than that it is great. The first time I rode it after installing it I went out with two buddies and I had to give one of them gas twice and the other one ran out at the end of the ride and I still had over 1/2 a tank left after riding for almost 5 hours!

good stuff, just be glad u dont own a 2 stroke, they go through a hefty amount of gas.

Yes my 125 had an oversized tank and i still had to carry gas with me. I learned my lesson after running out of gas one race 47 miles in just 8 miles away from the half way mark. When i stepped it up to my yz400f there was no need for an oversized tank anymore and it would make it to that half way mark every time

My buddy actually caries 2 stroke oil with him when we ride so that he can drain from my tank and mix it on the trail.
